Dr. U. R. Ananthamurthy (Chairman, FTII) says in his reply to the student community of FTII

"I want to assure the students that I will take moral responsibility and quit as Chairman in case the FTII fails to retain its ideal of teaching cinema making as an art and as high quality educational endeavor."

-Dr. U. R. Ananthamurthy, Chairman FTII (A contemporary writer and critic in the Kannada language and is considered as one of the pioneers of the Navya movement. He is well known among Indian authors.He is the sixth person among seven recipients of the Jnanpith Award for the Kannada language, the highest literary honor conferred in India. In 1998, he received the Padma Bhushan award from the Government of India.)

    Even current fees are so high that poor fellow of this country can not afford to pay for education in FTII.

  2. If we let the things go the way you people are leading, i am sure you will have to resign Mr. Chairman provided you honor ur word. But who will undo the damage done by ur experimentation with Hewit.

  4. Annathamurty has no guts to combat the present government. He is a great great supporter of Congress.
